In its quest to build and deepen students’ entrepreneurial skills in line with global best practices, the management of Caleb University, Imota, Lagos recently invited the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Credit Direct, Mr. Akinwade Ademosu to interact with the students of the institution.
Speaking at the forum filled with students from different departments, Mr. Ademosu explained his humble beginning and how his faith in God, courage and discipline helped shape his life and prepared him for growth.
Emphasizing the place of good and godly character in human advancement, Ademosu advised students to pursue and develop godly character and integrity, according to him, these qualities will help them to achieve a desirable future.
He shared with the students’ various ways in which they can improve their talents and skills and position themselves for greater tomorrow. “It does not matter where you are now, just start to work towards developing such life habits and qualities that will ensure your lifting and greatness in the near future,” he said.
The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof Nosa Owens- Ibie who led other Principal Officers to attend the event said the programme is important as it will help the students achieve their purpose in life and most especially to prepare them for the future.
Some of the students at the event were optimistic that the lecture will go a long way to prepare them for the future after university education. They commended the university for the event and hope for more of it in the future.
Recounting his experience at the interactive session, a post graduate student, Mr. Israel Asemota, from the department of Architecture said he has come to realise that character is important to anything anyone wants to be in life.
“If I become a person of solid and true character, I can achieve anything because our imagination was given to us to explore and see the possibilities of our ideas.
“I have learnt to invest in growing my mind because who we become on the outside, is a product of how we think on the inside but most especially I understand God has an ultimate plan for my life and though my beginning may look shallow, my end will be great,” he explained.
