State Grammar School, Eric Moore, Lagos, Alumni ’94 set recently celebrated 25 years anniversary with the association presenting ten set of office chairs to the teachers of 5 each to both junior and secondary section of the school.
Presenting the projects to the principal, the President of the association, Kemi Docemo said the idea of the project came as a result of the need assessment done by the set to know the important things needed by the school in order to boost the teaching environment.

She said the set is all out to face lift the school that has produced great men and women in the country. “We are committed to this project and all our mates are all out to make any project we identify a success.
“It is disheartening to see that the teachers don’t have a comfortable chair to sit on that is why we made this a priority because when they are comfortable they will teach well.”
Docemo who is an entrepreneur said the state of education in the country has shown that government cannot do it alone and there is the need for all stakeholders to come to the rescue of education sector.
She reiterated the commitment of the alumni to the development of the school especially in the area of student welfare and support for indigent students.
Responding on behalf of the schools, the Principal of the junior arm of the school, Dr. Shareefah Yussuf expressed gratitude to the alumni saying “you have by this singular act shown your love, care and support for school that made you.”
She acknowledged the efforts of the committee who she said repeatedly visit the school to identify what the school needed and at the same time made sure the teacher’s aspect was first handled.
The association also on Saturday, 5th of October at the anniversary party celebrated some of the teachers who taught them. They were presented with awards and cash.
