….Showcases Successful Programme Beneficiaries

The maiden lecture of Development Bank of Nigeria held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja was a celebration of two years of its existence with successful stories of impact in the business of numerous MSMEs with the economy.

In attendance were dignitaries drawn from the corporate world, young and old entrepreneurs, financial institutions, government agencies as well as the diplomatic community.

  With the theme: Surviving To Thriving: MSMEs as the Key to Unlocking Inclusive Growth in Africa, the gathering discussed several financial issues including financing,  sustainability, conversion and growth of Micro, small and medium enterprises.

 The keynote address was delivered by the African Union High Representative for the Peace Fund and former President & Chairman of the Board, African Development Bank, Dr. Donald Kaberuka.

 The lead paper was delivered by the Vice President, Country Operations, Islamic Development Bank, Dr. Mansur Muhtar.

 At the end of the presentations, there was a panel that dissected issues surrounding the growth and development of MSME in Nigeria through effective financing.

 The panelists include Professor Akpan Hogan, a renowned Professor of Economics; Mrs. Ndidi Nwuneli, Founder, LEAP Africa & Managing Partner, Sahel Consulting; Mr. Peter Bamkole, Director, Enterprise Development Centre, Pan-Atlantic University; Amal Hassan, Technopreneur, Outsource Global and Mrs Yemisi Iranloye, MD/CEO Psaltry International Limited.
